I refuse to believe I actually splurged all of my savings on a single convention singlehandedly over two freaking days! Not only I'm depressed, I'm so tired over the lack of sleep, trying to get hold and utilize-slash-exploit this new inspiration of mine. But I got to tell all of you, the stuff there is mindblowing amazing, you'll be willing to eat strawberries from the floor.

Let's start with Imaginary Friends Studio. Oh gawd, this is THE place I want to go when I finish schooling. AMAZING people with AMAZING talent. Sadly, NP hasn't gotten me far in terms of making me grasp the basics, so I'm stuck with half-assed work with no proper way of learning anatomy. They do art for all kinds of games including King Of Fighters and Darkstalkers, one of my two favorite fighting games. And the best part of this is THEY ARE SINGAPOREANS. That's so effin cool. That 70 bucks is going to be worth it. He's having a talk tomorrow, hooray!

Next is our darling Square-Enix. First off, the talk was really exciting, them showing loads of hidden footage...then the problem with the translator came. It was so frustrating for her to stumble and mumble her words (occasionally eating them up) and not being able to fully understand what's going on. Thank God I know a bit of Japanese but honey I tell you its not helping. I did catch some information that the translator didn't manage to translate. Overall the whole presentation was too wordy for my taste, well at least now I know there's this FFXII international coming along. Hooray. Don't get me started on the booth, it was practically empty save for the loitering UMDs and figurines of FFAC...which were practically in the market for more than half a year. Not cool, Squee-chan. I do want to take pictures with them tomorrow though, if they bother to be present.

I felt this CG Overdrive was worth more of a $100+ than a $170. The goodie bag was mediocre, i didn't find anything nice in there. And no, giving us a blurry sephiroth picture is not going to make me happy.
